Understandably, a few ORRC members were upset that there were no finisher medals for the Y2K 10K today. Although the 2018 Instructions for Participants (sent via email on Thursday and published to the Facebook event page on Dec 29) stated that only the half marathon runners would get finisher medals, the information on the ORRC website on the Y2K information page said that all finishers will get a medal. This was true in previous years, but not in 2018. In addition, we published an inconsistent date and time that online registration was closed for Y2K. ORRC Race Director Mark Barrett regrets these errors.
