100 IN DA HOOD!
100 in the Hood is canceled for 2010. ORRC made this decision due to another 100 mile race being held on the same weekend down in Ashland, Oregon. Participants interested in running on a similar course are welcome to run the PCT 50 mile event on July 24, 2010.
However,
many runners have written about their experiences while running this recent 100 miler. View all t he stories, pictures and race results here.
TURKEY TROT RAISES $20,181 FOR THE OREGON ZOO
ORRC president Dave Cook (pictured below, left) and West Coast Bank President David Hansen presented Metro President David Bragdon with a check for $20,181. Proceeds were generated by participates of the recent ORRC Turkey Trot. Thank you everyone for making this race such a successful event! Special thanks to Mary Overgaard, this year's turkey.

We are still looking for a merchandise coordinator, and an awards coordinator. Looking to make a difference? Email orrc for more information.
In addition volunteers are needed to staff the ORRC booth at both the Race for the Cure Expo Booth and the Portland Marathon Expo Booth, as well as staff the ORRC Station during the Portland Marathon. If you are interested contact Valerie Pratt, the ORRC Volunteer Coordinator at Valerie@prattweller.com. Remember, you also get 5 running bucks for every time you volunteer! Running bucks can be accumulated and redeemed for anything in ORRC - apparel, race sign ups, even membership renewals!
