RRCA APPOINTS NEW REPRESENTATIVE
Mark Barrett was recently appointed Oregon State Rep for the Road Runners Club of America by Western Region Director David Epstein.
Mark has been a member of ORRC since 1991 and has served as race director for the Vernonia Half Marathon and the Hagg Lake Run. He has been running since 1974 and has run every distance from the mile to the marathon. He often writes articles for the Oregon Distance Runner, our club magazine, and is part of an informal running group known as the Hagg Lake Harriers. He will be a wonderful representative for Oregon, with his knowledge and enthusiasm.
Mark succeeds outgoing State Rep Celia Perkins, who has sucessfully served as State Rep for the past several years. Many thanks to Celia for her years of service.

ORRC CONTRIBUTES $1,000 TO CLEVELAND HIGH TRACK RENOVATION

ORRC members spend Thursday evenings circling the track at Cleveland High for their workouts. A year ago, the track was asphalt with holes - now it’s a smooth tech track. To assist with the last stages of its renovation, ORRC presented a $1,000 check to Athletic Director Mike Shanahan. Susan Fugate leads the Thursday night group, and is joined in the photo by fellow enthusiasts George Watson, Carol Craig, Carole Reiley, and Dave Cook. Join us Thursdays at 6 pm!
ORRC HAS A GIFT FOR YOU IN 2010
If you are an ORRC member renewing your membership, or joining us as a NEW member, you will receive this FREE reflective vest. Your vest can be picked up at any ORRC Event.
ORRC wants you to run and walk safely out there and we want to let you know that WE appreciate you being a member of ORRC.
The reflective vests can also be purchased for $15 at our events.
