Dave’s Solstice Run at Blue Lake

Join us in celebrating the summer solstice with Dave’s Solstice Run 5K at Blue Lake. There will also be a free Kids fun run.

This event is named after Dave Green, a long-time ORRC member and volunteer. Dave was an active board member, joining in 1981, and becoming president in 1992.

Race director for multiple events, including the original Blue Lake Runs, Dave was also the “Treasurer Extraordinaire” and was instrumental in helping the club through some tough times financially in the past.

This event epitomizes Dave Green, and his love for low-key, family friendly events.

Blue Lake Regional Park

We are excited to once again present this race at the lovely Blue Lake Park.

At Blue Lake Park we will need everyone to respect their policies:

• Dogs are strictly not permitted: No dogs, nor any other pets, not even in vehicles.
• Strollers are allowed.

Day use fees (parking passes) per vehicle are included for participants. Carpooling is encouraged.

Details

• Course: We will have a simple, non-certified two-lap course that will take you on partly on bike path and trails/path, no road, run entirely in Blue Lake Park. View Course Map on Strava.
• Parking: Blue Lake parking is included as part of your race entry fee. Parking passes will be available at the bib pick up/day of registration table.
• Food: Breakfast items, fresh fruit, yogurt
• Swag: Custom foldable fan/flying disc

Day of Event Registration

On-site registration for Dave’s Solstice Run is available on the day of the event. Please note, ORRC member and volunteer discounts are not available on day of event.

8:30 am to 9:20 am – Day-of-race registration & bib pick-up
9:30 am – 5K run/walk starts
10:30 am – Kids Fun Run (ages 3 – 11)
