The annual Pumpkin Ridge Run features half marathon, 10K, and 5K distances. Experience the rural beauty of the North Plains as you run on quiet farm roads.
New courses were approved for 2024! Similar but now with a new, nicer start/finish area at the North Plains Elementary School.
Event Schedule
We’ve adjusted start times this year to reduce congestion among the different distance events:
- 6:15 a.m. – Check in begins
- 7:00 – Half Marathon start
- 7:30 – 10K & 5K event start
- 8:30 – 5K Awards
- 9:00 – 10K Awards
- 9:30 – Half Marathon Awards
- 10:00 – Course closes. Please be sure to clear the course for everyone’s safety.
Please note that the course has a 3-hour time limit, therefore a walk option is not available for the Half Marathon.
Courses
Multiple distances to choose from: 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon. The Half Marathon is basically two loops of the 10K course. The 5K is an out and back.
- 5K course: turn left out of the parking lot, and is an out-and-back

- 10K course: turn right out of the parking lot, and follow the loop course running counter-clockwise. There is a small out-and-back near the end of the loop. Be sure to take the turnaround specific to the 10K (it comes before the turnaround for the half marathon).

- Half Marathon: turn right out of the parking lot, and follow the loop course running counter-clockwise, and do the loop twice. Like the 10K, there is a small out-and-back near the end of the loop. Be sure to take the turnaround specific to the Half Marathon (it comes after the turnaround for the 10K).
