Champoeg 10K, 20K, 30K & Kids’ Run

Location: Champoeg State Park, St Paul, OR

Date: Saturday, March 22, 2025

Experience a unique combination of history, nature, and recreation at our Champoeg Park 10K course through forests, fields, and wetlands. Complete or two loops for the 20K course, or three loops for the 30K.

The 2025 Champoeg 10K, 20K, 30K & 1/4 mile Kids’ Run is on Saturday, March 22, 2025. After your finish, celebrate with friends and family at the heated outdoor finish line pavilion.

Vernonia Marathon, Half Marathon and Marathon Relay

Location: Banks High School, Banks, OR

Date: Sunday, April 13, 2025

Time: Start times: Marathon 8:00 am; Half Marathon 9:00 am; Marathon Relay 8:00 am

Imagine running a beautiful, tree-lined course along the 21-mile Banks-Vernonia State Trail. All events feature a gentle 7-mile, 400-foot downhill into Banks. The marathon, a Boston Marathon qualifier, is run on a point-to-point course, with 23 miles closed to vehicular traffic. The marathon and marathon relay start in Vernonia. The half marathon starts in Stub Stewart State Park.

ORRC is Eco-Friendly — this event is no longer cupless; we will provide water in cups at aid stations.
Marathon Relay option (for 2 or 4-person teams), in addition to the Marathon and Half Marathon, as we did in 2024.

ORRC Dual Duel Run and Race Walk; 10K and ORRC Mile

Location: Cleveland High School Track, 3459 SE 31st Ave, Portland, OR 97202

Date: Tuesday, July 22, 2025

Time: 7 PM for Dual Duel & 10K / 6 PM for Mile race

The 2024 Dual Duel 10-mile relay, 10K solo track race, and Mile race events will be Tuesday, July 23. (Note, per tradition, this is a weekday evening). This year, in addition, ORRC brings back many of the popular distinct events we’ve often held in conjunction with the Dual Duel on same evening. Choose from as many as you wish to enter:

Mile Race, with three heats planned:
- Mens Open
- Womens Open
- Pacers Mile (predict-your-time) races.
Kids Run (400 m or 1 lap around the track)
Devil Takes the Hindmost 2-mile race.
- The devil starts after the runners complete one lap, then tags runners with a “pitchfork” which will eliminate them from the race one by one…
Dual Duel 2-person 10 Mile Relay (Run or RaceWalk)
Quad Relay a version of the Dual Duel but for 4-person teams
10K Solo Run – for those who want to run alone, a track race during the Dual Duel / Quad Relay

Best Dam Run – 10K & Half Marathon

Location: 4th Ave., Between Broadway and SE Main, Estacada

Date: Saturday, October 11, 2025

Time: 8:30am: Half Marathon Walk; 8:45am: 10K Walk; 9:00am: 10K and Half Marathon Run & Run/Walk

The Best Dam Run course is lovely! Mostly on private closed road, it features views of the Clackamas River, cool forests, interesting geology and (if you’re lucky) bald eagles and osprey. The 10K is a speedy, net downhill point-to-point course, same as prior years. The half marathon course (first offered last year in 2023) is a Z-fold course — it starts out with the 10K, then at 3.45 miles, heads back towards the start, then turns around yet again to finish at the same finish line as the 10K, Broadway Street in downtown Estacada.

Autumn Leaves 30/50/50

Location: Champoeg State Park, St. Paul, OR

Time: 6:00am

Recreational and competitive ultra-marathoners from all over the West enjoy this unique running experience. Red and yellow maples dominate the fall colors along the Willamette River course and neighboring Champoeg Park campsites (including Yurts) are popular with runners pre- and post-race. Runners are fed well during this endurance event….

Turkey Trot at the Zoo

Location: Oregon Zoo, 4001 SW Canyon Rd, Portland

Date: Thursday, November 27, 2025

Time: Start times are based on your expected pace.
5K events begin at the SW Knights Blvd start line:

7:30am - 5K Run start for faster runners (10 min/mile or under)
7:32am - 5K Run start for slower runners (over 10 min/mile)
7:34am - 5K Walk start for faster walkers (15 min/mile or under)
7:36am - 5K Walk start for slower walkers (over 15 min/mile) and families/groups/people with strollers

Children's events begin at the Oregon Zoo Elephant Plaza:

8:30am - Tot Trot (Ages 0-4)
8:40am - Gobble Gallop (Ages 5-10)

2 two costumed participants from the 2023 ORRC Turkey Trot. They are dressed up as children's turkey drawings made from the outline of a hand. The Turkey Trot at the Zoo is great for the whole family. You can run or walk the 5 km course. You’ll start at The Oregon Zoo, then head out on Kingston Drive toward the International Rose Garden, then return to finish inside the zoo at the Elephant Plaza. We offer two Kids events, the Tot Trot, for those 0-4 years old, and the Gobble Gallop, for those 5 through 10 years old. Approximately $25,000 of registration fees benefit The Oregon Zoo.
