Ralph’s Run (formerly Y2K) is on Saturday, January 6th, 2024. Do you want a PR (personal record)? Now is your chance! Do the 20.24 in 2024 for a guaranteed personal best. There will also be a 5K and a 10K and EVERYONE gets to run up that tricky hill at the end! There are pancakes for everyone after the event, and a family discount for people registering 3 or more in one household. There is even a free kids’ run so everyone can participate. Renamed in honor of Ralph Brown
Formerly the ORRC Y2K Run, now Ralph’s Run in honor of longtime, beloved ORRC member Ralph Brown, this event moves back to its original premise of a changing distance every year. Starting out in 1986 as the 8.6 in ’86, it will now be 20.24K in 2024 (in addition to a 5K and 10K).
Volunteer for fun (and $50 credit)
If you cannot run or walk this event, we could really use your help. As a thank you, ORRC gives each volunteer a $50 coupon code, valid for one year, for any of ORRC’s events. We never have too many volunteers. Start your new year with friends and a pancake breakfast! Sign up to Volunteer
Also, as a volunteer, you will complete the first race in the new ORRC “President’s Challenge” where, if you either participate or volunteer in all ORRC events in 2024, you get free entry into all ORRC events in 2025!
There are positions for Friday, January 5th, and on race day, January 6th, both before, during and after the race. So choose a day and time that works for you. Thanks so much for your help!
