Have you ever wondered what it takes to put on a race or fun run? Do you want to help raise money for a cause or give back to the running community?
The Oregon Road Runners Club will teach you:
- How do you decide on a distance?
- Who do you need to contact to get permission to use city streets or park trails?
- How many porta-potties do you need?
All these questions are answered and more at our Race Director Workshop! We will train you on how to organize your event and run it successfully.
Register:
The workshop is free to anyone who is interested, but we need you to preregister so we can send you the materials ahead of time, and know how many people to expect.
This workshop includes resource materials on how to put on a race, including a timeline of when things need to be done, and detailed lists of what is needed to put on an event. Designed as a low-key, informational training session we want to help you decide if this is something you may want to try.
ORRC needs support for all its events and programs. We would greatly appreciate any time you can give to support the club, be it handing out water as a volunteer at one of our events, or putting on a race.
If you are interested in learning how to become a race director, or if you are interested in volunteering for any events in any capacity, or just have questions, please contact ORRC atÂ
Thanks again for all of your support, we look forward to seeing you out there on the roads in the near future!
