Community Outreach Grants

ORRC is proud to sponsor community organizations and youth groups that promote fitness, running and healthy lifestyles. As a part of our mission, ORRC donates a portion of its net revenue to groups and organizations that complement ORRC’s missions and goals. Funds are limited and must be applied for annually.

Who should apply for this grant program?

If you have a group or organization that could benefit from funding, or simply with non-monetary items such as medals, ribbons, or other supplies, submit your application and ORRC would be happy to review it.

How to apply

Note that we ask that all groups that receive funding to help promote healthy lifestyles and help volunteer at one of our ORRC events.

  1. Download the application form (available as Word DOC or PDF).
  2. Complete the application. On the form, please help us understand
    • How is your group focused on promoting health by means of a physical fitness program, such as running or walking? For what target group(s) does it aim to increase participation? Is the opportunity to participate made available to those who would otherwise be less able due to economic, social, or other barriers?
    • Please let us know of any specific interests your group may have in volunteering (at which of our race events, etc).
    • Please note:
      • Funds requested should be for programs that promote running and healthy lifestyles in elementary schools, high schools, or non-profit organizations.
      • Funds requested should NOT be for raising money for any other cause.
  3. Deadlines and submission. Submit the completed application by February 28 for the first cycle or end of August 31 for the second grant cycle, by email to
  4. Award Decisions. Community Outreach Program applications will be considered and discussed at the March (first cycle) and the September (second cycle) ORRC Board of Directors meetings.
