ORRC is proud to sponsor community organizations and youth groups that promote fitness, running and healthy lifestyles. As a part of our mission, ORRC donates a portion of its net revenue to groups and organizations that complement ORRC’s missions and goals. Funds are available on a first come first serve basis until funds run out, and must be applied for annually.
If you have a group or organization that could benefit from funding, or simply with non-monetary items such as medals, ribbons, or other giveaways, submit your application and ORRC would be happy to review it. On the application, please help us understand how your group is focused on promoting health by means of a physical fitness program, such as running or walking, especially if it increases participation of those who would otherwise be disadvantaged due to economic, social, or other barriers. We ask that all groups that receive funding to help promote healthy lifestyles and help volunteer at one of our ORRC events. If you’re interested in volunteering, please let us know.
Community Outreach Program funding shall be discussed and awarded at the March and the September ORRC Board of Directors meetings. Funding applications are due by end of February and August, respectively, to be considered at each of the March and September board meetings.
Please note, these funds are NOT for raising money for a cause. They are for programs that promote running and healthy lifestyles in elementary schools, high schools, or non-profit organizations.
