5K, 10K, 10.5 m Run/Walk

This Race is part of the ORRC 10K series and 5K series.


The following information was for the 2014 Race. Although much of the information will be the same, please come back at a later date for 2015 info or contact the race directors listed below.



Hagg Lake, approximately 4 miles south of Forest Grove on Highway 47. Follow signs to Henry Hagg Lake. Take the first left after the tollbooth and cross the dam to the Start/Finish area at Boat Ramp C. Allow 45 minutes from downtown Portland to the lake.

Rolling 10.5 mile run is one loop on a scenic bike path around the lake. The 5K and 10K is out and back. All three races have a few hills. Download a map and directions.

Starting Times
The 5K, 10K and 10.5 mile run start at 9am.  The 10.5 mile walk starts at 8am.

Register online or download the 2014 flyer. Mail-in registration must be post-marked by April 29th. Online registration closes 48 hours before the race. Fees go up on race day ($30 for all; no ORRC discount), so enter early and save! Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Map and Directions

$20 for ORRC members. $25 for non-ORRC Members.
Raceday: $30 all events, no ORRC discount.

Park admission is $5 per vehicle.  Please display your pass on the dashboard.  Carpooling is encouraged.

ORRC Hagg Lake Sox Plaques to overall winners (open and masters) and ribbons five deep in all ORRC age categories for the 10K and 10.5 mile run and walk.  All participants and volunteers are eligible for random prize drawings, including pies.  Must be present to win.  Awards will not be mailed.

Only preregistered participants are guaranteed a pair of socks. Day of race entrants get socks as quantities last.

Headphones/Strollers/Dogs/Age Limit
The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race. Strollers, baby joggers or similar devices are permitted, but should start in the back of the pack.
Dogs are not permitted.  We discourage anyone younger than 14 to run the 10.5 mile.
